The Blackbird
The SR-71 Blackbird looks like something out of a science fiction movie, but it was actually built in the 1960s - thanks to titanium.
The spy plane was the first plane to mainly use titanium for its frame, a metal that is as strong as steel but half as heavy. The Blackbird was as much as 92% titanium.
