Netflix's Locke and Key filmed at The Ovens, Lunenburg County, where gold was discovered in 1861. Within two months there were over 600 people panning for gold on the beach and mining the cliffs. The caves eroded naturally but Tucker's Tunnel was extended by mining.

Today The Ovens are a park.
